get it personalized

Feel like getting my own monogrammed embosser so badly! Looked at some internet sites that sell them. Decent price. Pretty good investment since you can use it for a lifetime. Kinda want to get those wax seal, too. It'd be pretty on the stationeries that I use to write my penpals :) Well, need to make up my mind...

radio

The radio played 2 Rob Thomas' songs in a row when I worked last night and that made me happy ^o^ I think "Unwell," "If You're Gone," "Ever the Same," & "Lonely No More" are among the background songs that our store plays over and over again....It'd be better if they cut down the number of songs in between :p

how come...what?!?!

Just 38 more days of school left for this semester!! Wondering why we have all sorts of weirdest professors in the college.....The neurologist who lectured yesterday kept saying the f**k, sh** & GD words and dropping the microphone... The statistician who looks like a homeless guy (he probably is) getting his clothes from GoodWill... The professor who can come up with a joke related to sex from whatever topic we have for the lecture... The professor who shows up every single day in her hiking outfits... The professor who plays video clips of girls in bikini/surfing & loud music clips in between classes in the classroom...(Then at the opposite end there are the extremely refined ladies & gentlemen...They could probably become supermodels if they lost their current job!)

something's wrong

Things are just not quite right in general... Miss talking to ppl who got me in troble talking in class. Miss the 4.o GPA I used to have in undergrad. Miss drawing fun stuff (like t-shirt designs). Miss long weekends. Labs are bad (and lab grades always give me heart attacks). Hate ppl not replying e-mails (mostly faculty members/teachers). Working 5 shifts this week is great, but hate seeing insurance rejection problems and rude customers. Hate getting huge chunks of ice in my frappiccino (sorry to say the quality of Starbucks coffee on campus is lower than other places). 24 ppl working on a 5-min powerpoint presentation--really have a tough time dividing the work equally among each member. My boss claimed that he played the boyband CD just because "someone left it in his CD player"...

when markers meet faces

Wow, the Lexington Philharmonic "All Abroad" concert was neat. Haven't been to a concert since high school. I volunteered to do face painting during the pre-concert activity. I think I face painted over 50 kids during the 1 & 1/2 hour period. The other volunteer freaked out when she found out that she had "to draw instead of just painting"...so she left and I was just by myself the entire time. It was alright. I always think that I don't like little kids very much but somehow I got along with them okay... Perhaps I was just having a good time painting/drawing. I don't think I'd like to do with health care for pediatric patients though...

string 'n noise

Feb 11, 2006--I attempted to play the violin and the cello the first time in my life. That was during the LexArts Weekend for kids, when I was one of the volunteers to help with the string instrument "petting zoo". I do think that I made myself a fool doing that, but it was fun :) People from the Arts Museum brought crafts for the kids to do (coloring sheets with a violin shape and real horse tail for the bow). I was the biggest "kid" decorating 2 paper violins :P Back to the violins- I'm too old to learn that now, plus, I'm too lazy to tune the instrument every time...Digital piano is still the best :)

bored/awesome

Got the Corpse Bride DVD at Wal-Mart--love the exclusive film book!!! Love the movie, love the puppets, love the voices ^-^ 10 years to make the movie? That's incredible (I do think they exaggerated that a little). Anyway... feel like I have too much time lately. Never had I found myself doing nothing in the computer lab but playing online sudoku puzzles...
