tasty

May 29 Taste of Cincinnati (a food festival in downtown)
Really hot that day. My brother won a key lime pie (yup, the entire pie, 8 in. diameter) and I ate 1/4 of it for dessert.
Blood sugar level--high

June 1 Tiramisu ice cream
Free scope from Baskin Robins. Good thing to join their Birthday Club.
Blood sugar level--higher

June 4 Tiramisu
Free chocolate cake from Romano's Macaroni Grill, but my brother & mom shared it. How could I skip the lady fingers layered with mascapone cream dusted with cocoa powder deal? By the way, there was candle on the chocolate cake. So cute :)
Blood sugar level--even higher

June 5 Tiramisu...again
A few of my pharmacy school friends and my dear undergrad friend celebrated b-day with me at Johnny's Carino. These girls sang a birthday song to me--something I haven't heard for more than 10 years! How sweet (so are the cup cakes)! Still had to order a tiramisu after having a cup cake... It was good. Got a lovely candle with water lily scent--my favorite :)
Blood sugar level--super high

June 6 Home
Getting bored and so I update my blog. Mom gave me some cash for b-day... Well, sweet. That's always awesome (better than gift card or something). I'll probably have sushi instead of cakes today. Gotta let my blood sugar level settle down a little bit (umm...maybe I'll order that green tea ice-cream....)

June 9 Garden Cafe at Flag Fork Herb Garden
Already made a reservation for my free birthday lunch. My preceptor at my rotation site last month bought me lunch at this place and it was soooo fresh and good. The red raspberry lime cheesecake had both good look and taste :) They only open Wed-Sat for during lunch hours. There's a gift shop & they grow their own herbs & flowers. What a neat place!

    Hey Daisy!
My birthday goodies must have not gotten to you yet. I sent your package (Yes it's a package LOL) out on June 5th. Almost right after I left my doctors office. I do so hope I put enough postage! I think I put like 4 stamps on it...well the gift inside was a tid bit heavy.
I didn't go in to get it weighed like I usually do. I just slipped into the 1 of the rows of mail boxs & drove straight home cuz the heat was 93*! We were driving in mom's new Jeep Cherokee Larado. Well it's a used Jeep, but still it's still new to mom.

Please let me know when you get my stuff. I'm not gonna stop worring about it til it gets safe into your hands! And it's in my nature to over worry & nit pick but hey that's how we Virgos are. LOL

By the way, I just finished reading InuYasha manga vol.3 It's getting better & better :) I see why you can get so addicted to it :P

HA HA HA AAH! Daisy you're slowly falling under the magical spell that is InuYasha! Oh Yes indeedy it just gets better & better as the story unfolds. If I had known you were reading InuYasha I'd have gotten you more vols of InuYasha for your b-day.
I have vols 1-5. Did you buy the vols or just read them at a library or bookstore? I do that if I'm on the fence about buying them. I've saved good money that way. lol I was gonna say you could borrow my vols 4 & 5 if you'd like. I could mail'em then you can mail'em back to me once you got through with them. I wanna get more InuYasha mangas, but there are other things I need. I'll probably wait til my b-day to get anymore .
I'm soo glad you like your gifts!! I must have looked at dozens of boxes of tarot cards before deciding on that single box of tarot cards. I was looking at the artwork of the cards. I was looking for a certain type of art style that I thought you would enjoy. So I hope that you enjoy them.

The artwork on the tarot cards is indeed pretty! I'm still reading the instructions :)
I think the local library has all the volumes of InuYasha (20+) so I just reserve them and pick them up at the branch closest to home. If fact, I'll reserve vol 4 & 5 once I come back here from Hong Kong, so you can save the postage for mailing those to me :) (thanks for offering though!)
I'll see what cool anime stuff I can get you this time in Hong Kong/ Japan

When will you be going to Hong Kong and how long will you be there? Should I write to you while you're in Hong Kong? If so is it still the same address? I don't know if I can find the addy. lol
