happy day (all trivial things)
1: Mom loves the scones I baked yesterday. We shared them with some of mom's friends and they all love them, although the bottom of the scones got little burned...
2: I heard from a classmate today and he's enjoying a biking trip in France. That's nice. I wish I can see the beautiful landscape there. Umm... last time I went to France was about 10 to 11 years ago. I still remember the chocolate crepe I had in a park near the Eiffel Tower...
3: My brother said he liked the soup base (for noodles) I cook. He never cares about food so it's quite surprising to hear that. Maybe I should cook that more often ^-^
4: I finally finished coping all the phone numbers from my mom's old phone book to a new one (I started on this last August). The old one is so unorganized that there are numbers with no names, or same numbers on 3 different pages. I'm glad that mom doesn't mind me organizing the phone numbers into categories.
5: Mom and I wrapped the gifts for my cousin's baby today. He'll be a daddy in early June (probably around June 4). There's a good chance that the baby will be born on my birthday.
6: Saw many black bears and raccoons on TV. So cute!!!! >_< I want to go to that ranch in Hokkaido, Japan to see them! Mom missed the TV show and I showed her what the bears were doing when people threw food to them... I'm sure I'll dream about these bears again tonight...

Hi ya Daisy!
Thanks to you I'm a proud new member of Friendster! The weird thing about it was that the night before I got your invite I came across the site and I had this feeling like sign up,sign up now! lol
I didn't know that you've been to France! You need to make me a list of all the countries you've been to.lol I've never had a crepe. Do you happen to have a recipe for one? And maybe the recipe for your soup base?
My mom saw a baby opossum coming toward the front porch a few nights ago. She quickly got back in the house. lol I think that's what's messing up our neighbor's little garden. You know the one with the son named Sam. The neighbor is always blaming our cats.

I signed up at Friendster quite a long time ago but not until recently I pay a little more attention to it ^-^
I have a couple crepe recipes, but what I found out to be the easiest is that you use 1/2 cup of pancake mix, add one well-beaten egg, and enough milk to make a very smooth batter with the consistency similar to Campbell's tomato soup (use a whisk to mix). Whisk in about a teaspoonful of oil so you don't need to add extra oil when frying it in a non-stick pan. Add about 2 tablespoons of batter or just enough to coat the bottom of a preheated frying pan. Fry until both sides are done but not brown.
For the soup base, you need chicken broth, ginger powder, chives, garlic powder, oyster sauce, and salt. It's oriental. If you wanna give it a try, I'll let you know the recipe later~
I'm still working on the cross-stitching baby gifts. Just half way done.
I've never seen an opossum before so I looked up some pics online. They're cute but I don't know anything about messing up a garden. Wild animals can do crazy things. Who knows!
